Custodian of Donor Care
Humber River Hospital Foundation was in the throes of a massive capital campaign to close down 4 old community hospitals and build the world’s first fully digital hospital. Our mission was to make sure that the annual donors, people who loved and supported their community hospitals, still felt they were needed and important. We needed a voice that could demystify the robots and technology and remind donors that what makes a hospital great is excellent care and compassion.
So we created Humbert—the ‘custodian of donor care’. Unlike the voices of doctors, nurses, administrators, fundraisers…Humbert was there to show the donors into the rooms and connect them with the patients there.
The result? Immediate and sustained growth in giving. Donors love Humbert, even write to him!
